Advisory Committee Participants
Iowa AEYC Grants and Scholarships
Continuing Education grants are available to Iowa AEYC members seeking training in any area of child development or early childhood education. Applicants must not be eligible for T.E.A.C.H.
 Scholarships are available to a member or group of members to attend the Iowa AEYC Fall Conference.
Iowa AEYC will award accreditation grants of up to $2000.00 annually to centers seeking
accreditation or reaccreditation to be used toward through the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs (NAEYC).
Iowa AEYC will award accreditation grants totaling of up to $1000.00 annually
to child development homes seeking accreditation or re-accreditation through
the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) to be used toward application fees.
Iowa AEYC will award accreditation grants totaling of up to $500.00 annually to programs seeking accreditation or reaccreditation through the National After School Association (NAA).
 One Lois E. Dell Center Enhancement Award of $500 will be given each year to one center for non-consumable equipment/materials to be used with children in the center.
The Tony Lacy Iowa AEYC Membership Scholarship is for a one year membership for individuals in NAEYC/Iowa AEYC.
Iowa AEYC Awards
The Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children will grant a Children’s Champion award to a person who has made significant contributions on the state level to improving the quality of care and education of young children. The person can be any professional, legislator, volunteer, or anyone currently living or working in the state, who has demonstrated an outstanding service or achievement to benefit Iowa's young children.
The Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children will grant a Friend of Young Children award to an Iowa AEYC member who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of care and education of young children.
 
 
Public Policy and Advocacy
Iowa AEYC’s public policy priorities emphasize the importance of our voice, professionalism and quality, as we work with our early childhood partners throughout Iowa to create a comprehensive, integrated early care, health and education system that supports our goal, “Every Child, Beginning at Birth, Will Be Healthy and Successful”.
