Iowa AEYC
Now Accepting Governing Board Nominations

Iowa AEYC is seeking nominations for candidates to the upcoming Governing Board Elections. In March and April, members will vote for President-Elect and Vice President.

President-Elect is the first year of a four-year term that includes one year as President-Elect, two years as President, and a final year as Past-President. Requirements include current Iowa AEYC membership; previous Iowa AEYC Governing Board experience; leadership skills; communicate skills; ability to facilitate others to perform their duties; professional contacts in the early childhood field and in the community. Vice President is a two-year term and the vice president may succeed self once. Requirements include Iowa AEYC membership; organizational skills; motivation and communication skills; and many professional contacts in the early childhood field and the state at large. Vice President Job Description

Nominations must include the following in a letter of interest:
- Full Name
- Position of Interest
- Prior Governing Board experience? If yes, list position(s) and years.
- Narrative explaining why you would be a great selection for the position of interest, such as
     # "I've served in this capacity at the local level of my Chapter." plus examples of accomplishments
     # "I'm interested in expanding my leadership capacity." plus examples of accomplishments

Letters of interest must be received by email to merrylukas@gmail.com or membership@iowaaeyc.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2020.
