One of Iowa AEYC's focuses is cultivating leadership within the early childhood profession because effective educated leadership makes a difference in improving learning. It turns out that leadership not only matters: it is second only to teaching among school-related factors in its impact on student learning, according to the evidence compiled and analyzed by the authors of How Leadership Influences Student Learning. Because Iowa AEYC knows just how important leadership is, we strive to promote leadership skills and opportunities.
